Championship Leaders Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha Head to Home Round at Misano

The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team returns to action this weekend (12–14 June) at the iconic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for Round 4 of the 2026 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship. Maria Herrera, Natalia Rivera and the entire team are eager to get back on track and strengthen their championship campaign at the squad’s home event.

Reigning World Champion Maria Herrera arrives in Misano after another impressive performance at Balaton Park, where she further extended her lead in the championship standings. The Spaniard is determined to continue her strong momentum at a circuit that holds special memories, having claimed a remarkable hat-trick during the inaugural WorldWCR round at Misano in 2024.

Teammate Natalia Rivera is equally motivated heading into the Italian round following an encouraging weekend in Hungary. The 19-year-old will make her World Championship debut at Misano, but already knows the circuit well from her European Championship experience, where she achieved several strong results.

The weekend schedule features Free Practice and Superpole on Friday, followed by Race 1 on Saturday at 12:00 CEST and Race 2 on Sunday at 11:50 CEST.

Maria Herrera: "I'm really looking forward to getting back on track and aiming for another strong weekend. This is also the team's home round, so we know we'll have extra motivation and support from everyone who comes to cheer us on, and we want to reward them with a great performance. It certainly won't be an easy weekend, as the competition is extremely close, as we already saw at Balaton Park, but we’ll push hard and try to enjoy, we'll be ready to fight. We can't wait to get back out there and battle for the top positions."

“I’m really excited to start this new season and to continue working with the team. Last year was an important learning experience for all of us, and we made constant progress throughout the championship. Now it’s time to take the next step. We finished 2025 close to the front group, and the goal this season is to be there consistently and fight for our first podium. I feel more confident, more prepared and more determined than ever. Having Maria as a teammate is a huge opportunity — she’s a benchmark in this championship, and I want to learn everything I can from her. I’m hungry to improve and ready to prove myself.” "I can't wait to finally race at Misano. Last year it wasn't on the calendar, which was a real shame, so I'm very happy we'll have the opportunity to compete here this season. It's a circuit where I've always felt comfortable and achieved good results in the European Championship, and I'm excited to ride the Yamaha R7 here in the World Championship for the first time. I'm confident we can continue reducing the gap to the front and join the fight for the top positions if we start the weekend on the right foot. Knowing that this is the team's home round and that we'll have so many people supporting us gives us even more motivation to deliver a strong result."
