Following the first official track action of 2025 at Cremona, the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team has unveiled its Yamaha R7 challenger for the upcoming FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship season. Riders Sara Sanchez and Natalia Rivera are set to take on an exciting new chapter as they aim to compete at the front of the field.
Sara Sanchez returns to the WorldWCR Championship after an impressive debut season in 2024, where she secured third place overall. She quickly established herself as one of the fastest riders on the grid, claiming two race victories, multiple podium finishes, and a pole position at the final round in Jerez. In 2025, the Spanish rider is determined to build on that momentum and consistently fight for podiums.
For Natalia Rivera, 2025 marks her first season in the WorldWCR, but she is no stranger to the WorldSBK paddock. She made her mark by earning a podium at the 2022 bLU cRU World Cup Superfinale and claimed the FIM Women’s European Cup title last year after a dominant season. Her performance earned her a well-deserved opportunity with the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team for this new campaign.
The duo recently completed two productive days of testing (3–4 April) at Italy’s Cremona Circuit in preparation for the season opener at the legendary TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, taking place on 11–13 April. Sara Sanchez posted the seventh-fastest time overall (1'41.634), logging 81 consistent laps. Natalia Rivera was also impressive, finishing tenth with a best time of 1'42.209 after completing 77 laps, showing she’s already up to pace.
With both riders focused on being regular front-runners and showcasing their potential race after race, the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team is ready to rise to the challenge. The team is also proud to welcome several key partners, whose support will be instrumental in the success of this exciting season.
Sara Sánchez"I can’t wait to begin this new chapter with the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team. It’s such an honor for me to represent them, especially after the season I had, where I consistently battled for the front positions. 2024 had it all, and I hope 2025 brings even more — that’s our goal. I’m looking forward to enjoying every round this year as much as I can, aiming to improve on what I achieved last season. Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long, as next week we’ll already be in Assen for the first round of the season. I’m beyond excited to be competing in the WorldWCR again!" Sono emozionatissima di tornare a correre nel WorldWCR!"
Natalia Rivera: "This is going to be a thrilling season and a brand-new experience for me. We’ll work hard throughout the year to stay close to the riders in front, with the goal of improving in every race and staying consistent all season long. I want to thank the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team for trusting me — I’m proud to represent them, and I can’t wait to be back on track. The wait won’t be long, as we’ll be racing in just one week’s time in Assen, and I’m really excited to compete in the World Championship."
Ayrton Badovini (Team Manager): "It’s going to be an exciting year, with the goal of consistently fighting at the front. We all know Sara’s value — she proved last season that she’s one of the fastest riders in the championship. The aim for 2025 is to confirm that performance and build on what she achieved in 2024, which would mean having a very strong season with her. On the other side, we’re welcoming Natalia for her first experience in the World Championship. She demonstrated her talent by winning the Women’s European Championship, and in Cremona she adapted quickly and well to the Yamaha R7. We’re confident she’ll soon be fighting in the group, but the main target will be consistency and steady improvement at each round. We’re all eager to get the season started — and we won’t have to wait long, as Round 1 is just a week away."
