The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team wrapped up the weekend at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France, with Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter securing more valuable points on the final day of racing.

After a solid Warm-Up session, Gardner and Aegerter pushed hard in the Tissot Superpole Race. Starting from 9th and 12th on the grid, both riders faced a tricky start. In the 10-lap sprint, they remained in the fight for the top nine until the very end, with Aegerter finishing 10th and Gardner crossing the line in 11th.

For the final feature race of the weekend, the pair lined up 12th and 13th on the grid. Both made strong starts, gaining positions on the opening lap. Over the 21-lap contest, they maintained competitive pace, with the two-time WorldSSP Champion Aegerter finishing ninth, while Gardner brought home more points with 13th place.

Remy Gardner – Superpole Race: P11 / Race 2: P13
“Unfortunately, in the sprint race we couldn’t hold our position early on, even though our pace was good in the closing stages. That meant starting one row further back for Race 2, which made things a bit tougher. We tried to work our way through the field, kept a consistent pace, but it wasn’t quite enough to gain more places. Now we’ll focus on Aragon and take some time to rest.”

Dominique Aegerter – Superpole Race: P10 / Race 2: P10
“It was a bit of a shame to narrowly miss the top nine in the sprint race, as that would have helped us set up a better Race 2. Overall, our pace was consistent, but we’re still missing a little something to fight for higher positions. I want to thank everyone here for their support – it was amazing to feel the energy from the stands and the paddock. Now we’ll enjoy a short break, keep training hard, and aim to fight closer to the front in the final three rounds.”

Natalia Rivera returned to action today for the final day of racing at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France, with the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team, delivering another strong performance to secure sixth place at the chequered flag.

The day began with the final Warm Up session, where Rivera completed valuable laps and finished sixth in the 10-minute outing, gathering crucial data for the race ahead.

Starting from sixth on the grid, the 18-year-old made a solid start and held her position in the opening stages. She displayed strong and consistent race pace throughout the 12-lap contest, improving on her performance from Saturday and closing the gap to the leading group. Rivera eventually crossed the line in sixth, matching her best result of the season and capping off her strongest weekend yet in her rookie WorldWCR campaign.

Natalia Rivera – P6
“I think we can be satisfied with the weekend overall, but at the same time, it’s a good sign that we’re not completely satisfied. In the opening laps, I had to make a few moves to catch the front group, which cost me some time and ultimately prevented me from staying with them. Still, my race pace was good and consistent, so I believe we could be able to fight with the leading pack. This result is a great confidence boost, and now we’ll keep working and training hard ahead of the final round, aiming to get even closer and join the battle for the podium.”

The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team returned to action today for the first race day at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, where Natalia Rivera delivered her best performance of her rookie season by claiming sixth place in Race 1.

The day began with the final Warm Up session, where Sara Sánchez and Natalia Rivera put in valuable laps to prepare for the race. The Spanish duo finished fifth and seventh respectively, setting themselves up with confidence ahead of the opening contest.

When the lights went out, both Sánchez and Rivera had strong starts, immediately joining the leading group in the early stages. Rivera kept her momentum, staying with the front runners throughout the first half of the race and setting competitive lap times. After 12 intense laps, the 18-year-old crossed the finish line in sixth place – her best result of the season so far. She also posted the sixth-fastest lap, which means she will start from P6 in tomorrow’s Race 2.

Sánchez’s promising race, however, came to an early end after a crash while battling for the podium positions. She was taken to the medical center where she was diagnosed with a left-hand metacarpal fracture and was declared unfit for the remainder of the weekend. She will now return to Barcelona to begin her recovery process.

Natalia Rivera – P6
“My best race of the year so far – and not just because of the result, which is great – but because I was able to stay with the leading group and enjoy several laps fighting with them. This shows we are making real progress, and I’m confident we can get even closer soon and take that final step. Now the target is to stay with the front riders again tomorrow and keep improving. I also want to send my best wishes to Sara for a speedy recovery – it’s such a shame she got injured today, and I hope to see her back on track as soon as possible.”

The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team delivered a solid opening day of racing at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France, securing valuable points as Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter finished sixth and eighth respectively in Race 1.

The day began with Free Practice 3, where both riders fine-tuned their set-ups ahead of the Tissot Superpole session. Gardner posted a strong lap (1’36.013) to place fourth, while Aegerter was 15th (1’36.797).

Confidence was high going into Superpole, and both riders pushed hard in the 15-minute qualifying session. Gardner clocked a 1’35.793 to secure ninth on the grid, with Aegerter just one row behind in 12th (1’35.981).

When the lights went out for Race 1, both GYTR GRT Yamaha riders made strong starts, gaining positions on the opening lap. They maintained a competitive pace throughout the 21-lap contest, with Gardner climbing to an impressive sixth place at the flag and Aegerter gaining four positions to finish eighth, scoring valuable championship points.

Remy Gardner – Superpole: P9 / Race 1: P6
“As I mentioned yesterday, I’m still feeling a bit sore after the Balaton incident, so managing all the laps here in France wasn’t easy, especially on such a physically demanding track with lots of direction changes. I did my best to manage the race, and overall, sixth is a solid result as well as the pace. Of course, we’d like to be a bit faster, but given the circumstances, we can be satisfied. Tomorrow we’ll push to improve and aim to feel more comfortable across all laps in the remaining races.”

Dominique Aegerter – Superpole: P12 / Race 1: P8
“In the end, P8 is not too bad, but we were not as fast as we expected. I thought our race pace would be better, so we’ll check the data and work hard to improve for tomorrow, aiming to be faster and more consistent. I’m confident we can take a step forward and fight closer to the front. First, we’ll target a strong sprint race to secure a better grid position for Race 2.”

Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter were back in action today at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France, as Round 9 of the 2025 WorldSBK season got underway. The GYTR GRT Yamaha duo dedicated the opening day to race-distance preparation, finishing 10th and 14th respectively in the combined times.

Free Practice 1 kicked off at 10:20 local time, with the team concentrating on race setup throughout the 45-minute session, evaluating tyre and bike options for the weekend. Gardner placed 12th with a 1’37.616, while Aegerter ended the session 17th with a 1’37.910.

In the afternoon’s Free Practice 2, both riders improved their lap times consistently while continuing to focus on long-run pace rather than a single fast lap. Gardner climbed to 10th overall with a 1’36.542, while Aegerter’s late flying lap was hampered by unfortunate circumstances, leaving him 14th on a 1’36.734.

Remy Gardner – P10 (1’36.542)
"It was a challenging day, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. It felt great to be back on track and shake off the cobwebs after the long break, even though I am still feeling a bit sore from the Balaton incident. Each lap allowed me to rebuild my rhythm and improve my connection with the bike. We still have work to do to find a little more pace, but I am confident we can make further progress and deliver a strong performance this weekend."

Dominique Aegerter – P14 (1’36.734)
“First of all, it’s great to be back on the bike. It was a nice feeling to ride again, even if the performance isn’t quite where we want it yet. We were a bit unlucky this afternoon with some issues that stopped us from setting a faster lap, as my ideal time shows there’s more potential. We’ll keep working hard to improve and get closer to the front tomorrow.”

The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team returned to action after the summer break at the iconic Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours for the penultimate round of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship. Sara Sánchez and Natalia Rivera delivered a strong performance, securing a second-row start in the Superpole session.

The weekend began with Free Practice 1 at 09:00 local time, where both Sánchez and Rivera immediately showed competitive pace on French soil. Rider #64 Sánchez impressed with the second-fastest lap time of 1’54.642, while her 18-year-old teammate posted a 1’55.261 to finish sixth.

Later in the day, at 13:30, the team returned to the track for the crucial Superpole session, with both riders improving their lap times. Despite some late-session traffic hindering their fastest laps, Sánchez qualified fourth with a 1’52.266, narrowly missing out on the front row but still showing strong potential. Rivera also delivered her best performance of the season, qualifying sixth with a 1’53.011, and demonstrated that she still has more pace to unlock.

Sara Sánchez – P4 (1’52.266)
“Overall, it was a good qualifying, though it’s a little disappointing to miss the front row by such a small margin. Still, we’re very close and ready to fight. Our race pace looks strong, and we’re eager to show it tomorrow and on Sunday. We’ll keep working to make further improvements and then give everything in the races to achieve a strong result.”

Natalia Rivera – P6 (1’53.011)
“This is my best qualifying result so far, which is a very positive step. I’m happy, but not fully satisfied — and that’s a good thing because it means we’re closing the gap to the front. My ideal lap shows we have even more potential. Tomorrow, the goal is to stay as close as possible to the lead group, join the fight, and stay with them until the end. We need to stay focused and positive — we have what it takes!”
