Sara Sánchez and Natalia Rivera are ready to return to action at Cremona Circuit, Italy, from May 2–4, as the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team takes on Round 2 of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship – a round the team is proud to call its home race.
Both riders will compete aboard their Yamaha R7 machines following a solid debut at the iconic TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, where Sara Sánchez secured strong podium finishes in both races. Teammate Natalia Rivera delivered a consistent performance in her maiden World Championship appearance, earning her first championship points.
In preparation for the upcoming round, the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha squad completed a productive two-day test at Cremona Circuit in early April. Both the #64 and #20 made significant progress, with the goal of continuing their development throughout the race weekend.
The event will kick off with Free Practice and Superpole qualifying on Friday, followed by Race 1 on Saturday at 12:45 CEST, and Race 2 at the same time on Sunday.
Sara Sánchez: "It’s great to be back racing after a few weeks off! We had a strong debut weekend in Assen, but we’re aiming for even more in Cremona. Last year I was able to fight for the win there, and that’s the goal again. We also had a test session at this Italian circuit last month, and we’ll be looking to build on that and keep improving. I can’t wait to hit the track!"
Natalia Rivera: "We’ll try to pick up right where we left off in Assen. It was a very emotional weekend for me, being my first in the World Championship, but also a really productive one. I learned a lot, but there’s still so much more to take in, so the focus is on continuing to improve and staying consistent. The feeling during last month’s test was quite good, and we’ll be working to take another step forward. I can’t wait to be back out there!"
