New Challenge Ahead for Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team at Balaton Park

Sara Sánchez and Natalia Rivera are set to return to action this weekend at Balaton Park, Hungary, as the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team takes on Round 4 of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship.

Both riders will be aboard their Yamaha R7 machines on a brand-new circuit for the WorldWCR paddock, as Balaton Park makes its debut on the WorldSBK calendar. Sánchez enjoyed a first taste of the track some weeks ago, while for Rivera — with no previous data or experience at the Hungarian venue — Friday’s sessions will be crucial for learning the track quickly and setting a strong foundation for the races.

At the previous round in Donington Park, Sánchez delivered a standout performance, claiming second place in Race 2 and battling for victory right up to the penultimate corner. Now more confident and determined, the Spanish rider aims to take the final step to the top of the podium this weekend.

Rivera also enjoyed her strongest weekend of the season so far. After a solid qualifying session, she fought for P6 in Race 1 and continued improving in Race 2 to secure ninth place — her first-ever Top 10 in the World Championship and her best result of 2025 to date.

The weekend will begin with Free Practice and Superpole qualifying on Friday, followed by Race 1 on Saturday at 12:20 local time, and Race 2 at the same time on Sunday.

Sara Sánchez: “It’s great to be back racing so soon! I’ve been training hard to be ready for this round. I was at Balaton some weeks ago to get a first taste of the track, but to race it with all the WorldWCR will be a different story. Getting the confidence quickly on Friday morning will be key to preparing well for Superpole. At Donington I felt strong in Race 2 and was able to fight for the win — that’s our goal here too, so we’ll work hard from Thursday to build a good weekend.”

Natalia Rivera: "I can’t wait to be back on track! It’s a new circuit for everyone, and I’m really excited to discover Balaton Park. Learning the layout fast will be essential to building confidence and starting strong. We made good progress at Donington, improving session after session — that was just the beginning, and I believe we can take another step forward this weekend."
