Gardner denied chance for Misano Redemption

Remy Gardner returned to action at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, producing a good sprint race and scoring points with an eighth-place finish, as Round 6 of the 2025 FIM World Superbike Championship came to an end.

Following a decent warm-up where the Aussie rider clocked important laps ahead of the races, the #87 enjoyed a great getaway in the Superpole Race, battling for a place on the rostrum in the early stages. In the 10-lap contest, he showed consistent speed to secure a third-row start in Race 2, crossing the line in eighth.

As Race 2 got underway, the 27-year-old had a good start, gaining positions in the opening lap. He then tried to stay close and battle with those in front, managing to maintain decent speed, but was unfortunately hit by another rider at Turn 10 with 16 laps to go. The incident marked a premature end to his race and the team’s hopes.

Remy Gardner – Superpole Race: P8 / Race 2: DNF
“Unfortunately the feeling was not too great, but we were still able to battle in the sprint race, trying our best to secure a good result and a decent starting grid position for Race 2. At the end we managed to finish eighth, which wasn’t great, but neither too bad. We then tried to improve the performance in the afternoon, but the feeling was not amazing overall, to be honest. It was enough to try to fight with those around, but unfortunately I was hit by another rider and I couldn’t do anything, and the race was over. Not the way I wanted to finish the weekend, but that’s racing. Let’s try to move on and stay positive for the next rounds.”
