FINAL TEST FOR GYTR GRT YAMAHA WORLDSBK TEAM IN ARAGÒN

The 2022 FIM Superbike World Championship is about to start. GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team’s final pre-season on-track preparations will take place at the DWO Supported test days at MotorLand Aragòn on 4th-5th April, before the opening round gets underway at the same venue from 8th-10th April.

Previously at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 25th-26th March, the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team made good progress during the two days of testing with Garrett Gerloff and Kohta Nozane. Despite uncertain weather, both riders managed to make a lot of laps in dry and wet conditions.

With 147 and 119 laps completed respectively, Gerloff and Nozane are approaching the last Supported test days at Motorland Aragòn focused on being as ready as possible for the first round of the 2022 season. Both will try to continue the good work that they’ve done at every test until now.

The DWO Supported test schedule will consist of three sessions of 45 minutes on both days. On 4th April the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team will be on track from 11:35 to 12:20, 14:25 to 15:10 and 16:55 to 17:40. Afterwards on the following day, track action is set to begin from 10:55 to 11:40, 13:45 to 14:30 and 16:15 to 17:00 (all times CET).

Following the last preparation for the 2022 FIM Superbike World Championship, the Teruel venue will host the first round of the season on 8th-10th April. A lot of activities are expected to be held at MotorLand Aragòn, so be sure to don’t miss any action on GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team online channels.

Garrett Gerloff: “In the next couple days we’ll have the last official Supported test and then we’ll finally be back racing! I cannot wait to begin the new FIM World Superbike Championship season, but first we need to focus on the test. It will be interesting to ride again at MotorLand Aragòn after one month to see how we’ve improved and we’ll try to be ready as much as possible for the race weekend. It’s almost time!”

Kohta Nozane: “Having two days of testing at MotorLand Aragòn just before the first round of the season at the same venue is not bad at all. We need to put the pieces together and keep working on what we learned from the previous tests. I’m confident we can make another step forward and be ready for the first race weekend.”

Filippo Conti claims: “Step by step we’re getting closer to the 2022 FIM World Superbike Championship beginning. At MotorLand Aragòn we will have the official Supported test with all the teams on track just a few days before the first round of the season at the same venue. We need to be ready for this and maximize our performance. We’re looking forward to a good race weekend.”
