The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team returns to action this weekend (1\u20133 May) at Balaton Park, Hungary, for Round 3 of the 2026 FIM Women\u2019s Circuit Racing World Championship. Maria Herrera and Natalia Rivera are both eager to get back on track after a strong showing in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reigning World Champion Maria Herrera delivered another impressive performance at TT Circuit Assen, securing a dominant weekend that further strengthened her championship lead by 13 points. The Spanish rider enjoyed great success there, claiming pole position, a race win, and a second-place finish in Round 2. She also has positive memories of Hungary, where she took a victory and a third-place finish last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teammate Natalia Rivera is equally motivated to put together a strong weekend following a solid but unlucky round in the Netherlands. The young Spaniard demonstrated strong pace but was denied a good result in Race 2 due to unfortunate circumstances, despite a promising Race 1. The 19-year-old performed well at Balaton Park last year during her rookie season, and with greater experience of the track, she is aiming for even better results this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schedule includes free practice and Superpole qualifying on Friday. Race 1 is set for Saturday at 13:00 (CEST), with Race 2 taking place at the same time on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Herrera: <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to being back on track so soon, especially after a strong weekend in the Netherlands, even though I wasn\u2019t in the best physical condition due to some cracked fingers and a dislocated shoulder. We need to stay fully focused, as the level of competition is very high. Things are working well, and I had a good weekend in Hungary last year, so I\u2019m confident we can achieve strong results again if we remain consistent in every session. I\u2019m improving physically, but I\u2019m not fully recovered yet, so we\u2019ll need to dig deep and be ready to fight once more.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited to start this new season and to continue working with the team. Last year was an important learning experience for all of us, and we made constant progress throughout the championship. Now it\u2019s time to take the next step. We finished 2025 close to the front group, and the goal this season is to be there consistently and fight for our first podium. I feel more confident, more prepared and more determined than ever. Having Maria as a teammate is a huge opportunity \u2014 she\u2019s a benchmark in this championship, and I want to learn everything I can from her.
