The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team is gearing up for the final round of the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship, taking place this weekend (17\u201319 October) at the Circuito de Jerez\u2013\u00c1ngel Nieto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominique Aegerter is targeting a return to competition after missing the Estoril Round due to injury, having suffered a fracture to the fifth metacarpal in his right hand ahead of the penultimate event. Following successful surgery, the Swiss rider now aims to be back on track for the Spanish season finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aegerter will undergo a medical check on Thursday to determine his fitness to race. Should he not be declared fit, Alessandro Delbianco will step in as a replacement. Delbianco was crowned Italian Superbike Champion in 2025 with the DMR Racing Yamaha and he also is familiar with the GYTR GRT Yamaha team, having raced with them twice last season\u2014standing in for Aegerter in France and for Gardner in Jerez, achieving a best result of 10th in Magny-Cours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other side of the garage, Remy Gardner is eager to close the season on a high note following a strong and productive weekend in Estoril. The Australian and the team have previously enjoyed competitive performances in Jerez, and both are confident heading into the final round, aiming for a positive conclusion to the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining the WorldSBK effort will be the Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team, set to contest the final round of the FIM Women\u2019s Circuit Racing World Championship, as they too look to finish their season on a strong note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Friday\u2019s Free Practice sessions and Superpole qualifying, Race 1 will take place on Saturday at 14:00 (CEST). The Superpole Race and Race 2 are scheduled for Sunday at 11:00 and 14:00 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remy Gardner:<\/strong>\u201cFirst of all, I really hope to see Domi back in Jerez! We\u2019re looking forward to the final round at a track where we\u2019ve been strong in the past. Unfortunately, I couldn\u2019t race here last year due to injury, but in 2023 we were close to the podium and consistently fast, so I\u2019m confident we can enjoy a solid season finale\u2014especially after the positive weekend we had in Estoril.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominique Aegerter:<\/strong>\u201cMy hand is improving day by day, and I\u2019m looking forward to hopefully finishing the season together with the team. It would be my last race with them, and I really want to be on track. I know it won\u2019t be easy, but I\u2019ll give it everything I have to end the year on a high. Jerez also brings back great memories\u2014it\u2019s where I took my first WorldSBK podium with the team\u2014so I know we can be competitive. Fingers crossed and let\u2019s see what happens.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
