The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team wrapped up the final day of action at MotorLand Aragon, Spain, for Round 10 of the FIM Superbike World Championship. Both Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter secured points in the last feature race of the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a productive morning Warm-Up, the #87 and #77 riders lined up for the Tissot Superpole Race with confidence. In the 10-lap sprint, Gardner made a solid start, battling for a top nine position, but later struggled with grip and had to settle for 16th. Meanwhile, Aegerter was caught up in a multi-rider incident on the opening lap, which compromised his chances. The two-time WorldSSP Champion managed to rejoin the race but could only climb to 21st by the chequered flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon\u2019s Race 2, both riders fought hard starting from 11th (Gardner) and 14th (Aegerter) on the grid. Showing consistent pace over the 18 laps, they crossed the finish line in 12th and 13th respectively, collecting valuable points to close out the Aragon weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t an easy day, but we take home some points and move forward. We knew this track wouldn\u2019t play to our strengths, but we gave everything we had. I felt there was more potential, but we couldn\u2019t fully show it. The sprint race was disappointing, while in Race 2 we were at least able to keep a steadier rhythm to the end. It\u2019s not the result we want, but we\u2019ll take the positives and focus on improving for the season finale, where we expect to be stronger.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>\u201cUnfortunately, our Superpole race ended before it really began, as I was taken out in a lap-one incident. It\u2019s a shame, but that\u2019s racing\u2014we still finished the race but had to restart from P14 in Race 2. My pace there was not too bad, but overtaking was really difficult. I got stuck behind other riders and couldn\u2019t show my true rhythm, which was frustrating. Still, we\u2019ll take what we learned and aim to finish the year with two strong rounds in Estoril and Jerez.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
