Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter were back in action today at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France, as Round 9 of the 2025 WorldSBK season got underway. The GYTR GRT Yamaha duo dedicated the opening day to race-distance preparation, finishing 10th and 14th respectively in the combined times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Practice 1 kicked off at 10:20 local time, with the team concentrating on race setup throughout the 45-minute session, evaluating tyre and bike options for the weekend. Gardner placed 12th with a 1\u201937.616, while Aegerter ended the session 17th with a 1\u201937.910.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon\u2019s Free Practice 2, both riders improved their lap times consistently while continuing to focus on long-run pace rather than a single fast lap. Gardner climbed to 10th overall with a 1\u201936.542, while Aegerter\u2019s late flying lap was hampered by unfortunate circumstances, leaving him 14th on a 1\u201936.734.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It felt great to be back on track and shake off the cobwebs after the long break, even though I am still feeling a bit sore from the Balaton incident. Each lap allowed me to rebuild my rhythm and improve my connection with the bike. \u201cFirst of all, it\u2019s great to be back on the bike. It was a nice feeling to ride again, even if the performance isn\u2019t quite where we want it yet. We were a bit unlucky this afternoon with some issues that stopped us from setting a faster lap, as my ideal time shows there\u2019s more potential.
