The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team wrapped up a competitive Saturday at Donington Park in Round 3 of the FIM Women\u2019s Circuit Racing World Championship. Sara S\u00e1nchez battled for the race win and ultimately finished fourth, while Natalia Rivera showed impressive pace, fighting for sixth until the final laps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day began with Warm Up 1 at 09:30 local time, where both S\u00e1nchez and Rivera used the session effectively to fine-tune their setups. S\u00e1nchez finished seventh, followed closely by Rivera in eighth, both improving consistently from the previous day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the start of Race 1, S\u00e1nchez had a tricky launch from the front row, losing a position early on. Despite the setback, she delivered a strong performance, closing a 3.0-second gap to the leading duo of Neila and Herrera. S\u00e1nchez then joined the fight for the win in the 12-lap race, eventually finishing fourth \u2013 narrowly missing the podium \u2013 but securing the second-fastest lap, which earns her a front-row start (P2) for Race 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rivera also delivered a solid performance, riding a consistent and progressive race. The 18-year-old improved her lap times steadily, even going faster than her qualifying time, and was in the mix for sixth place until the end. She ultimately crossed the line 11th, very close to the top six, and set the eighth-fastest lap of the race. This performance puts her on the third row of the grid for Sunday\u2019s Race 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t have the best start from the front row, but my race pace was really strong, and I managed to catch the lead group by recovering three seconds. Unfortunately, I\u2019m still struggling a bit with overtaking, and it\u2019s disappointing to miss the podium after showing such good speed. But we\u2019ll work to take another step forward tomorrow and fight again for the win or at least a podium \u2013 that would be the ideal way to end the weekend.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRace 1 was tough, but overall I think we can be satisfied. We made good progress with our pace, and I was consistently faster, even improving on my qualifying time. Most importantly, I stayed with the group fighting for sixth until the end. It\u2019s all valuable experience, and now we\u2019ll keep working to make more progress tomorrow and in the future, because we\u2019ve shown we have the pace to improve further.\u201d<\/strong>
