The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team launched Round 2 of the FIM Women\u2019s Circuit Racing World Championship at Italy\u2019s Cremona Circuit \u2013 a home race for the team \u2013 with a promising performance that saw Sara S\u00e1nchez qualify on the second row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day began with Free Practice 1 at 09:40 local time, with both Sara S\u00e1nchez and Natalia Rivera quickly getting to work on the Italian track. It was a productive session for both riders, helping them build confidence over the 25-minute outing. S\u00e1nchez finished fifth with a time of 1\u201942.159, while Rivera claimed a solid 10th place with a 1\u201942.981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, the team returned for the Superpole session at 14:10. Determined to secure strong starting positions for the weekend's races, both riders improved on their morning lap times. S\u00e1nchez posted a 1\u201941.762 to secure fifth on the grid, despite a small crash late in the session. Rivera, just 18 years old, improved to 1\u201942.815 and will start from 14th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday\u2019s schedule includes a Warm-Up at 09:30, followed by Race 1 at 12:45 local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t the easiest Friday, but we have two race days ahead. I\u2019m confident we can make a good step forward, starting with tomorrow\u2019s Warm-Up, and fight for the front in both Race 1 and Race 2. The grid position isn\u2019t bad, and I\u2019ll aim for a strong start to join the lead group. Unfortunately, I crashed while improving my time in Superpole, but I\u2019m okay and ready to give it my all tomorrow \u2013 that\u2019s what really matters.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFree Practice 1 went quite well, and finishing in the top 10 was a positive start. We went into Superpole with good confidence, aiming for a strong grid spot. The hotter conditions in the afternoon made things trickier, and although I improved my lap time, it wasn\u2019t as much as I hoped. Qualifying here isn\u2019t easy, and unfortunately I'm still missing a bit of confidence on the bike in order to be faster. I believe that's part of the learning process and that soon we'll be able to put all the pieces together to have the feeling I would like. For tomorrow, I'm confident we can fight back and gain positions during the races.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
